    Programs Committee

The Programs Committee organizes industry-specific marketing programs and events. The Programs are based on the six domains considered to be most critical to a marketing professional's success: Marketing Research; Marketing Plan; Client and Business Development; SOQs/Proposals; Promotional Activity; and Information, Resource and Organizational Management. Programs involve prominent industry leaders and experts, public officials, media figures and programs surrounding potential project opportunities. Committee members can market their firms and help determine program topics for the entire organization.

    2012 Regional Conference Committee

The SMPS Northeast Regional Conference is an excellent opportunity to get refreshed, meet new colleagues, learn new ideas, and energize to achieve higher levels of success – all while staying close to home!

Hosted by a different SMPS northeast chapter each spring, the regional conference has been held in locations across New England, the most recent ones in Worcester, MA (2009), Providence, RI (2008), Salem, MA (2007), Mystic, CT (2006), and Northampton, MA (2005). Incidentally, in April 1986 Connecticut was the first SMPS chapter to hold a multi-chapter Regional Conference.

SMPS Connecticut hosted the Northeast Regional Conference in the spring of 2010. The regional conference committee is currently forming and is looking for volunteers to help plan and run the conference. The Northeast Region includes Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York City, Upstate New York, Long Island, and Maine chapters.

    Sponsorship Committee

    Leadership Committee

The SMPS Connecticut Leadership Committee was created several years ago as a way to re-engage chapter founders and past presidents and create an advisory board for the current Board of Directors.

SMPS CT is fortunate to have many active past presidents; many past presidents are in positions of senior management and can offer a unique perspective on industry trends, topics, speakers and chapter management.

The SMPS CT Leadership Committee meets three times a year in the fall, winter and spring, as well as participating in summer planning sessions. The group is open to anyone who has served as an SMPS Chapter President. The current Immediate Past President serves as the liaison between the Board of Directors and the Leadership Committee, sharing information and ideas between the two groups.
