AEC firms with multiple offices face many marketing challenges. A panel of veteran marketers with extensive experience juggling the daily challenges presented by these expansive AEC entities will share their best practices for issues you currently face or may face in the future.

For 25 years, Geryl has worked for or consulted to AEC firms -- including time as Mktg Dir. for Fuss & O’Neill, which at the time had 7 offices and multiple divisions. She has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Hartford and a BA in Communications from UConn. She is an accredited member of PRSA and has been an active member of SMPS since 1995. She is currently Immediate Past Pres. of the SMPS CT Chapter and serves on the SMPS National Accreditation Committee, and the Construction Institute Marketing Committee.

Bernice has been a marketer 17+, 15 with Turner, 10 in Connecticut. She began working with Turner offices and manufacturing partners nationally in 2007. In addition to the Hawthorne headquarters operations, she has marketing responsibility for Turner Facilities Management Solutions, Cincinnati, OH Turner Logistics Medical & Research Solutions, Brentwood, TN and support of the 42 Turner offices. Bernice has an MBA in Mktg from the University of Connecticut, and BA in Communications/PR from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Meredith Berman Lovejoy, Office Marketing Manager

For 14 years, Meredith has designed, implemented and led marketing and branding programs for both commercial and non-profit entities. Her background includes strategic planning, team-building, programming, board development, and professional education. Prior to Perkins Eastman, she served in senior marketing management roles for Gensler’s Northeast Region; Gruzen Samton architects; HOK-NY; and, Einhorn Yaffee Prescott. She’s been a member of SMPS NY since 1997, and served on the board for 12 years, including Board Pres. in 2004-2005. Perkins Eastman is an international firm with 8 offices nationally and 5 offices in Canada, China, India, Equador and the UAE.
Becky Bozadjian, Director of Marketing
VHB | Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., Watertown, MA
Becky has worked with AE firms for 20 years in strategic planning, market research, business development, proposal management, and marketing communications. She joined VHB in 2006 and was recently named an Associate. She has a BA in Economics from Connecticut College, and an MBA in Marketing from Babson College and is a 10-year member of SMPS. VHB has 17 offices along the East Coast.

Kelly handles inter-office, inter-regional and corporate marketing -- such as GEI’s National SMPS First Place award-winning corporate media relations effort -- conference schedules, branding, advertising, and more. GEI provides geotechnical, water resources, environmental and ecological science and engineering consulting services internationally through 18 offices in the US.
Paul F. Schmidt, PE, Vice President and Director of Business Development

Paul has 39+ years in the industry, 30 with URS. He is responsible for client management, resource procurement, support and project development. He is a Past Pres. of the New England Section of Transportation Engineers and currently a Board Member and Treas. of ACEC of CT URS has operations in more than 30 countries in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. URS specializes in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental, Survey and Telecommunications Services.
